Re: Custom reports not showing in configuration

Your custom reports have to be in a specific folder on your server, especially in 7.2. The folder name must correspond with the type of report it is (i.e. Project). The path would then be something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Deltek\Vision\Reports\Custom\My Reports\Project where C: is your server. ...

Re: Changing Fields

I would recommend posting this to the official Deltek Forum so it gets added to the (neverending) wish list, as this is an unofficial forum and I have no idea if anyone from Deltek sees this.

Re: Backlog

I'd look at the Project -> Project Progress Report or the Accounts Receivable -> Invoice Transaction Detail report. Both can be customized to show fee remaining. I've also configured the Office Earnings report to be whatever I needed; it's the most powerful report in the system, IMO.

Re: write off

One report that will show these hours is the Accounts Receivable ->Invoice Transaction Detail. You can choose which type of transactions show up - unbilled, written off, etc.

Re: Can you copy a project in DelTek Visions?

Yes, you can copy a project, but you should do so very carefully, as what you copy can include resources, billing amounts/terms, basically everything that was in the previous project. If I was in your shoes, I'd set up the first project to be exactly the way I want it and use that as your basis for ...

Re: Vision Connectivitiy Issues

One suggestion: if you don't already have access to the official Deltek forum, I would strongly encourage you to get it. Access to the knowledge base there alone is worth it, IMO. That said, I'd take a look at the Actuate/report server and make sure nothing is corrupted, affected by a virus, or requ...

Re: A/P Discounts

Regarding project numbers - it depends on how your firm handles them. I can't be more specific than that because everyone codes the project numbers differently, and within Vision, you can specify the type of project (direct or overhead) said project number represents.

I would call Deltek Support directly if you haven't already.

Re: Notes in Project Plans

The problem with Project Plans in Vision is that they're very basic. If you need greater detail than that, I would recommend using project management software like MS Project or spend the money and time on forcing Vision to conform to your needs. Sorry - it's been a very basic element of Vision for ...
