I'm looking to install MAS on Mac machines that are running Parallels to access Vision. Does anyone have experience with this? Does anyone have experience with MAS in genral?

I worked with it years ago from a user level. I'm not sure what the issue is though. Parrallels should run Windows on the Mac with no problems and you can use IE to access Vision through that. Where does MAS come into play?

The owner is adamant that the employees be able to enter time and expenses remotely. Due to the fact that they are going with a single server deployment, they are looking at any and all options to access Vision remotely. They don't like the idea of using a VPN because of it being blocked sometimes. MAS would allow the employees to enter their time and expenses even if disconnected and then just upload when they are back in the office. None of the employees are ever away for more than 2-3 days at the most so this solution seems appealing to the owner.

A 2 server deployment is being considered, but they are not crazy about purchasing a second server just for remote access basically.

Running MAS just to enter time remotely sounds like a real headache. VPN works well for us. We have about 5-10 users that travel occasionally and 2 or 3 that travel pretty often and I've can't remember the last time we ran into an issue accessing VPN when there was internet access available. If VPN doesn't work for you, there is always accessing Vision via the internet. I'm not to fond of the thought of it, but you'd just need an SSL certificate and an external IP. People could then login from anywhere.

The firm considering this solution put moving to Vision on hold, so this issue has not been addressed yet.
