The ability to track payments by payer

Postby hinzinho » Tue May 05, 2009 12:18 pm

I would like to see Vision has a option to track cash receipts by payers and/or clients instead of just clients. Most of our projects are with insurance companies and there are tons of splits on the bills. Having our AR report by client will not show us who really owns us money.

Hope this make sense.

Does "Billing Client" not work for you?

Unfortunately no. We deal with multiple clients on a single project and the Vision 'Billing Client' only allow one name.

For example, on a project, the "Billing client" might be a law firm, but the payers are AIG Ins. (20% of the bills), Farmer Ins. (25% of the bills), etc..

So on the Aging AR report, this law firm would shows as owning 100% of the bills when in fact it's really by insurance companies.

Also on the Cash Receipts side, there is no option to specify who we received the cash from. In my above example, I would like to see another field for AIG, Farmer, etc.

P.S. Thanks for setting up this website.

Ah, I see how that could be useful. Make sure to log the request with Vision support so they can document the wish list item.

No problem, thanks for participating!

Excellent! I'll do the same. I'm sure there has and will be more occassions when we could have utilized this as well.
