Mixed Fee Types on Project

Postby Richard_Levkoy » Thu Jan 17, 2013 8:58 am

I was presented with a project to set up wherin the project manager specified to the client a fixed fee through the constuction document phase and hourly not to exceed a maximum for the construction administration phase. Is there any way to set up two different fee types for the same project or do I need to set up two distinct projects? I fished around but did not see how I could make this work within the same project, unless I missed something.

Thanks for any feedback.

If you set up each Fee Type as a separate Phase or Task within the Project, in the Billing Terms, you can Enable Billing Terms by Phase. Then you can set up separate terms for each Phase. We do that all the time for similar contracts, works just fine.

Thanks so much. I am going to try this on a project that just came in.
