Creating "Template" Plans

Postby mdiaz1209 » Wed Apr 21, 2010 6:53 pm

I have gone through all the trouble of setting up a Template project plan that has all the settings defaulted as well as the structure of the plan. When I create a new plan by copying an existing plan and then link that plan to a project, the plan does not pull over all of the pertinent information from the project info center such as the client, project manager, compensation summary, etc.

But if I create a new plan from an existing project, all of that information will pull over. Am I missing a step as far as linking a project to a plan?

That's just because Vision uses the data from a project when you create a plan from the project. If you are creating the plan from scratch or from another plan template, there is no automated transfer of data.
