Project Compensation/Fees affected by Planning

Postby ChrisMcLean » Mon Jul 02, 2012 12:51 am

Hi everyone,

This is probably a stupid question but is there any interaction between the Compensation in a Project Plan and the Compensation in the linked Projects?

We were told that the two are completely separate (so no planning workflows) but our Project Compensation seems to be affected by the Compensation in the Plan.

Thanks

Chris

Compensation on our project records is the sum of our lower WBS levels.

Thanks Gerald,

But would changing the Compensation in the Project Planning module impact the numbers in the Project Infocenter?

You do have a choice in your configuration. Some firms like the Plan to "override" the Info Center budgets, some do not. Find out how yours is configured by looking at Configuration, Planning, General Tab.

Reporting is one of my areas of expertise in Deltek Vision. If I can assist you or your firm please contact me direct via E-mail or phone anytime...
