SUMMARY
Manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance/HR Departments. Must be proficient in Deltek Vision and have 10+ years government contracting with 8(a) experience. Cost plus and firm fixed pricing contract knowledge. Experience working with project managers. Computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties. Over time your salary will increase as you demonstrate competency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles.
• Prepare budget and financial forecast.
• Publish financial statements on time.
• Conduct month-end and year-end process.
• Collect, analyze and summarize account information.
• Computer taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement.
• Develop periodic reports for management.
• Produce government compliance reporting.
• Audit financial transitions and document accounting control procedures.
• Keep information confidential and secure with random database backups.
• Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation.
• Work closely with Project Managers’, verify commitments and ETCS (Estimate to Completion) when required.
• Monitor project cash flow.
• Compile and sort documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
• Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records.
• Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals.
• Manage outside Tax, Payroll, Audit and Legal service providers.
• Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or
computer spreadsheets and databases.
• Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment.
• Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
• Computes and records charges, refunds, cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items.
• Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts with various registers.
• Compile cost reports and revenue and balance sheets.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Monitors loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.
• Reconcile report discrepancies and problems.
• Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
• Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections.
• Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.

Education and/or Experience:
• Must be proficient in Deltek Vision.
• Have 10+ years’ experience in government contracting with 8(a) experience.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
