Our company has it. It's very powerful, particularly when fully utilized.

We're getting there.

I currently do all of the nationwide Newforma-Vision integrations, for both Newforma and Central Consulting Group. If you have any specific questions, please let me know. CCG is a reseller of both Vision and Newforma, so we can likely go into depth.

We have been looking at it. We use Linux for our servers so the implementation would require us to purchase new servers a well.
I'm not sure where it is going to go from there but we put a quote together and passed it up the chain.

I will be shortly. I am currently a Vision site and we are going to be using Nuforma in the near future.

We have implemented Newforma approximately 3 months ago and Jonathan at CCG helped us to integrate it with Vision. Most of the hiccups with the linking of the two seemed to be due to some changes our company was going through at the same time, but as far as the two tlinking it has worked quite well.

Did you have some specific questions that I can try to answer for you?

Are you guys using the Newforma Connector that is marketed by Newforma ?

Is this a Custom method ( DLL ) installed into vision that kicks of the Newforma create / update or a stored procedure ?

Any idea what the hook is in Newforma that Vision calls to execute these updates and create ?

We are currently running an older version of Newforma. I don't know if it has dramatically changed, but 6th Edition calls a webservice on the InfoExchange server and passes the data that way. The trigger is project creation or update in the Vision workflow system.

Thanks gerald.. that is what I was thinking it was like or hoping. The closest thing I have found to a SOAP XML web service is:
https://<server>/RemoteWeb/LegacyIntegrationServices.asmx

we are currently on the 9th edition. The Legacy part leads me to believe that there is a newer method calling the API.

Where is the web service located you are using ?

The web service is on our InfoExchange server. We're about to upgrade to 9th. I configured the initial Vision/Newforma integration myself but I'm going to go with consulting service for the upgrade since it has changed dramatically. I'll let you know what I learn from the setup. We'll be ready for the upgrade later this month.
