Reverse Proxy Logons

Postby desheba » Tue Mar 09, 2010 7:59 pm

Hi ... we are in hopefully final stages before going live. I have remote offices: we are not on a WAN. So, we had to install reserve proxy for the user in otherr offices to be able to print (No, they didn't tell us that in the beginning).

Now, some of my user can print and others can't. Our guess is that it has something to do with the IE setting...

Any ideas would be trememdously appreciated...... this entire process, from the technical side, has been a bit frustrating.

In a remote situation, I would use the print locally feature of Vision. This would generate a PDF, launch Adobe and allow the user to print to any locally installed printer.

Hi

Deltek told us that would not work.... and it didn't when we tried it.

So all this Reverse Proxy stuff wasn't necessary??

Perhaps we have gotten bad instructions on what to do...

Would it be possible for you to talk with my IT folks?

Sure, I'd be happy to speak with them. As long as your report server is accessible from the internet, printing locally should work.
