Report Preview not working

I'm working with a firm to implement Deltek 5.1, and working to create custom reports, which I have done at other firms. I configured the report I need, and saved it, but when I attempt to preview the report, I get the following error message:


Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

I have added the database to my trusted sites (using Internet Explorer 8) , and also activated the SSL and TSL protocols in the security section on the advanced tab in my internet options, and I'm at a loss as to what to try next. Since I'm a consultant working for myself, I don't have a handy IT department to trouble shoot technical issues such as this - has anyone encountered and overcome this issue?

Are you working on this across the internet or locally on their network?

It's possible that reporting and the firewall are not configured for external access to the reports. This thread should help: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=325&start=10

Hi

Are you running this report directly against the database?

Or did you write it in Actuate, install with the Report Administration, and run from within Vision?
